The ATCO Indigenous Education Awards Program is offering scholarships to Indigenous students who are looking to further their education. The awards are presented to students who demonstrate leadership capabilities and commitment in their quest for higher education. To be considered for an award, students must complete the online application form, and submit the required documentation, including: – Reference Letter – Proof of enrollment for their upcoming school semester – Short Essay (500-1,000 words) – Transcript from most recent school attended The application and all documentation must be received by July 15, 2020, Successful applicants will be contacted. Jaylene Delorme-Buggins

Chipewyan/Cree from Yellowknives Dene First Nation and carries her culture with her in everything she does. At 26 years old, Jaylene is a strong and inspiring voice for Indigenous young people.

As a recovering addict, she advocates for awareness on mental health issues, addictions and suicide. She has faced many hardships to get where she is today, so she brings a powerful unique voice and insight to the table for young women across Canada .
